Why a job's location check blocks my proposal

Some jobs only accept AI trainers in certain locations. Learn what the location check looks at, what each location message means, and how to fix browser and device location settings.

Some employers only accept proposals from AI trainers in certain locations. The employer sets which locations are eligible for each job. On those jobs, OpenTrain checks your location before you can submit a proposal or start the job’s AI interview. If the check does not pass, a message appears in the proposal window and you can’t submit yet.

  • The country on your profile. The job’s requirements list shows Location Match when the job has a location requirement. Your profile country must be one of the job’s eligible locations. Set it to the country where you live.
  • Your current location. Location-restricted jobs also ask your browser for your current location when you apply. Your browser may show a prompt that asks to share your location with app.opentrain.ai.

The check runs again each time you try. A pass on one job or on one earlier attempt does not lift the check for later attempts.
