Can I use OpenTrain on my phone or tablet?
Section titled “Can I use OpenTrain on my phone or tablet?”Most of OpenTrain needs a computer for now.
- Applying to a job. On a phone, a tablet, or a browser window narrower than 1,024 pixels, the job page shows Finish Your Application on Desktop. Select Email me the link. OpenTrain AI emails the job link to the address on your account. Open it on a computer.
- After you saved your AI interview. If you already finished the AI interview and saved the results on a computer, and you have not sent the proposal yet, you can set your price and submit from a phone or tablet. Starting the interview needs a computer.
- Your workspace. The AI Trainer workspace, the employer workspace, and agency setup show Continue on desktop on a phone. Use a computer.
- Onboarding. Some early steps, such as the resume upload, work on a phone. You finish onboarding on a computer.
- Password reset. Open the reset link on a computer. See Sign-in and verification code help.
- What a phone can open. Settings → Verification (the ID check, for AI trainers), and the Account and Notifications tabs in Settings.
- Agreements. If your agreement came by email, sign it from the email. If it opens inside OpenTrain, sign it on a computer.
Why does a job say some requirements are missing?
Section titled “Why does a job say some requirements are missing?”When you start a proposal, the requirements card shows All Job Requirements Met or Some Job Requirements Are Missing. Under Missing: it lists what your profile lacks. The list can include Software Experience, Data Type Experience, Location Match, Language Match, and Talent Type Match.
For most items the card is a warning: You can still apply, but your proposal may be less competitive until these are addressed. Add the missing item to your profile, then reopen the job. See Profile setup.
Location Match works differently. A location message can stop your proposal. See Why a job’s location check blocks my proposal.
Missing: Language Match
Section titled “Missing: Language Match”A job shows Language Match when the employer lists one or more languages for it. Every language the job lists must be on your profile. OpenTrain checks that the language is on your profile, not your proficiency level. The employer sets the languages, and you can’t change them.
To fix it, add the language under Languages in your profile, then reopen the job. See Languages.
Can I change the language I see?
Section titled “Can I change the language I see?”- The OpenTrain app. AI trainer signup and the first onboarding steps have an EN / ES switch. The app follows the choice you saved, then your browser language. After onboarding, the app is shown in English, and account settings have no language option.
- These docs. Use the language chooser in the page header: English, Spanish, French, German, or Japanese. Some newer pages are available in English only.
Where do I find the right link to apply or to share a job?
Section titled “Where do I find the right link to apply or to share a job?”- To apply, sign up or sign in at app.opentrain.ai and browse jobs at app.opentrain.ai/find-job.
- To point someone to a job, share the job page address from app.opentrain.ai, not a link from another site.
- Your account does not include a personal referral link.
- Do not forward password reset links or verification codes. They work for you only.
What is a partner job?
Section titled “What is a partner job?”Some jobs on OpenTrain come from partner companies. The job page says where the job was sourced, and it says Applying opens the source application page outside OpenTrain. If you are signed out, it asks you to create a free OpenTrain account first.
- You finish the application on the partner’s site. OpenTrain does not make the partner’s hiring decisions or set its assessments, training, pay, or contract terms. Ask the partner about those, including repeat applications and whether training is paid.
- Pay, countries, and requirements come from the partner’s listing. A listing with no countries does not mean the job is open worldwide.
- Some partner jobs start with the OpenTrain AI interview. If you qualify, the job page then shows a message and a button to finish your application on the partner’s site.
- Use the button on the OpenTrain job page. A link copied from somewhere else may not open the right job.
- If the partner’s site does not show the job, return to the OpenTrain job page and select the button again. You can also search the partner’s job list for the job title shown on the OpenTrain page.
How do I get access to CVAT or another labeling tool my job uses?
Section titled “How do I get access to CVAT or another labeling tool my job uses?”Your employer decides which labeling tool a job uses. If your job uses CVAT, your employer runs it, gives you access, and answers questions about your batches. Message your employer from the job.
For questions about your contract, hours, payments, or account, contact support.
Contact support
Section titled “Contact support”If the answers above do not solve the problem, email support@opentrain.ai. Include the email address on your account and the message you see. Never send your password, a verification code, or photos of your ID.
