Filipino Tagalog AI Training QA Lead

The work

As a Filipino/Tagalog AI Training QA Lead, you will oversee language quality across AI training projects. You will review AI-generated content and trainer or QA work, apply detailed project rubrics, and give clear written feedback in English.

You will also support contributors, maintain project materials, and improve quality processes for Filipino and Tagalog-language work.

• Spot-check content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural fit, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and rubric compliance.
• Evaluate mistranslations, literal wording, unnatural tone, incorrect code-switching, unsupported claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology.
• Update trainers and QAs in Discord about guidelines, project changes, workflows, and quality expectations.
• Answer questions about Filipino and Tagalog wording, tone, register, translation fidelity, Taglish, and cultural context.
• Create and maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and run training calls about project expectations, workflows, and quality standards.
• Message inactive contributors, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues.
• Find recurring quality gaps, suggest workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes.

What it pays and takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor role with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

• Pay: $25 USD per hour.
• Location: Applicants must be based in Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, or the United States.
• Languages: Native or near-native Filipino or Tagalog, with strong reading and writing skills, plus strong English for guidelines and team communication.
• Experience: At least 3 years in Filipino or Tagalog writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or a related language-review workflow.
• Language knowledge: Strong command of Filipino or Tagalog grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, cultural context, and natural usage.
• Work style: Careful, organized, and able to assess content against detailed rubrics and maintain quality documentation.
• Tools: Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Preferred: A bachelor's or master's degree in Filipino, Tagalog, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
• Preferred: Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt and response evaluation, or rubric-based language model QA.
