The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Vietnamese Quality Assurance Lead to review AI-generated Vietnamese content and trainer or QA work. You will evaluate quality against project guidelines and provide precise written feedback across language, meaning, tone, cultural appropriateness, instruction-following, formatting, and project rubrics.

You will also identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates, support onboarding, maintain Vietnamese project documentation, and help contributors stay aligned with the workflow. This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week, with pay of $25 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Review Vietnamese AI training outputs and trainer or QA submissions for quality and consistency.
• Provide written feedback on accuracy, fluency, tone, spelling, grammar, and formatting.
• Escalate recurring or critical issues and help align contributors on project expectations.
• Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Support onboarding and training calls for trainers and QAs.
• Communicate workflow updates and quality expectations across remote teams.
• Help improve scalable QA processes for Vietnamese-language projects.

Required Qualifications

You should be a native or near-native Vietnamese speaker with strong reading and writing ability, as well as strong English communication skills for guidelines, feedback, and team coordination. Experience leading or supporting remote teams is strongly preferred.

• Experience in Vietnamese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review work.
• Strong understanding of Vietnamese grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone markers, diacritics, register, and cultural context.
• Ability to identify mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect diacritics, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
• Comfort working with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.

Helpful Background

Helpful preparation includes a degree in Vietnamese, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Experience with regional differences across Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnamese is also valuable.

Experience with large language models, prompt or response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM quality assurance can further support success in this role.

• Knowledge of Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnamese usage differences.
• Experience evaluating prompts or responses from large language models.
• Experience with rubric-based LLM quality assurance.
