Data licensing for companies

Get paid for the data your company already has

AI data buyers publish their pay ranges for company data: between $20,000 and over $2 million, depending on the data (the buyers' own pages, read October 25, 2026). Those are published ranges, not a promise for your company. Apply once. We show you every buyer that fits, so you can apply to each one and compare any offers before you choose.

Disclosure: OpenTrain is an independent referrer. If a buyer we match you with credits your company's referral, that buyer may pay OpenTrain a referral reward. You pay OpenTrain nothing. We never receive or hold the data your company licenses. We keep the company and contact details you give us, and we send them to a buyer only when you ask us to.

$20K to $2M+

What AI data buyers publish for company data, read October 25, 2026

  • One buyer: payments typically from $150K to over $2M.
  • Another buyer: from $20K to $1.5M, set by industry.

Those are the buyers' published ranges, not an offer or prediction for your company. Any offer depends on your data and is made by the buyer. OpenTrain can't promise an amount. Sources

How personal information is handled

Every buyer we work with says on its own site that it removes or transforms personal information before your data is shared with others. Before you sign, ask each buyer to show you in writing, with a sample, what personal information it removes or transforms, when it does so, and who can see your records before then. OpenTrain does not remove personal information for you and cannot guarantee how a buyer does it.

  1. Your records
  2. Buyer explains what is removed or transformed
  3. You review
  4. You approve

You decide what is shared

  1. First, ask each buyer to put its security and privacy terms in writing, and to confirm that nothing leaves your systems until you approve it.
  2. Then sign a license that says what is shared, how it is used and what you are paid.
  3. Share data only after you sign, and only what the license names. OpenTrain does not audit or guarantee any buyer's security.

In the news

This story covers the market. It does not mention OpenTrain.

OpenTrain costs your company nothing. If a buyer credits your referral, the buyer may pay us a referral reward. You license your data straight to the buyer. We never receive, hold or sell that data. We keep the company and contact details you give us, and we send them to a buyer only when you ask us to.

FAQ
What kind of data can my company license?
Internal work records: email, team chat, documents, customer and sales records, support tickets, code and process guides. Ask each buyer what personal information it removes or transforms, and when.
How much is it worth?
AI data buyers publish ranges between $20,000 and over $2 million (the buyers' own pages, read October 25, 2026). One says its payments typically run from $150K to over $2M; another sets a range for each industry it buys from. A news report in October 2026 described offers from $100,000 to over $1 million. Those are ranges and examples, not a prediction for your company. Value depends on how much data you have, how unique it is and the rights you hold. Every offer comes from the buyer. We can't promise an amount.
Why apply through OpenTrain instead of going to a buyer directly?
You can go direct. Through us you fill in one form instead of one per buyer, you see every buyer that fits, and you can compare any offers before you choose. It costs you nothing.
How is personal information handled?
Every buyer we work with says on its own site that it removes or transforms personal information before your data is shared with others. Before you sign, ask each buyer to show you in writing, with a sample, what personal information it removes or transforms, when it does so, and who can see your records before then. OpenTrain does not remove personal information for you and cannot guarantee how a buyer does it.
Is it legal to license our company's data?
It depends on your contracts, your privacy notices and the law where you operate. Each buyer's license sets out the rights it needs. We don't give legal advice, so check with your own counsel before you sign.
What does OpenTrain cost?
Nothing. If a buyer credits your referral, it may pay us a referral reward.
Can a closing or closed company license its data?
Yes, if someone with authority acts for it: the founder or board, or a person appointed to act for the company as it closes, such as a trustee, liquidator or assignee for creditors. Who can sign depends on how the company is closing, so check with your counsel. See closing or closed companies.
What happens after I apply?
You see each buyer that fits straight away. You apply to the ones you choose, and each buyer decides whether to contact you.
