The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Ukrainian Quality Assurance Lead for a remote contractor role supporting Ukrainian AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Ukrainian content and trainer QA work, evaluate outputs against project guidelines, provide precise written feedback, support trainer and QA communication, maintain style guides and documentation, and help keep quality standards consistent.
This is an intermediate-level, part-time opportunity requiring 20+ hours per week. Hiring is open in Moldova, Kazakhstan, the United States, Poland, Canada, and Ukraine.

What You'll Do
You will combine detailed Ukrainian language review with contributor support and process improvement. The role requires consistent judgment, clear written communication, and the ability to identify both individual errors and recurring patterns across project work.
Review Ukrainian AI training outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and rubric adherence.
Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QAs.
Answer questions about Ukrainian wording, translation fidelity, register, terminology, and edge cases.
Support onboarding, training calls, documentation, and activation of contributors who are not working consistently.
Help identify workflow improvements and build scalable QA processes for Ukrainian-language projects.
Maintain style guides and documentation that support consistent review standards.
Requirements
You should be able to evaluate Ukrainian content against detailed rubrics and explain quality decisions clearly in English and Ukrainian. Strong knowledge of Ukrainian language structure and usage is central to the role.
Native or near-native Ukrainian proficiency with strong reading and writing ability
Strong English skills for clear project communication and feedback
Experience in Ukrainian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related language-review workflows
Deep knowledge of Ukrainian grammar, spelling, punctuation, declension, gender agreement, tone, register, and cultural context
Ability to evaluate Ukrainian content against detailed rubrics and identify mistranslation or inconsistent terminology
Comfort working with remote teams and documentation tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems
Prior experience leading or supporting trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred
Helpful Background
Academic or professional experience in language, communication, education, or quality assurance may be valuable preparation for this work. Experience with AI training and rubric-based model evaluation is also relevant.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ukrainian, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related domain
Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt or response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA
