The Role

As a Ukrainian Language AI Reviewer you will evaluate AI-generated Ukrainian text, produce gold-standard reference answers and rewrites, and give precise written feedback (in English) that improves model outputs.

You will focus on correctness, fluency, register, cultural appropriateness, logical consistency, and safety across tasks such as general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.

• Position type: Remote contractor, part-time (hourly).
• Location: Ukraine only (applicants must be based in Ukraine).
• Hours: 20+ hours per week.
• Pay: Up to $20/hour.
• Hiring scale: Up to 100 experts in the hiring country.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

Your hands-on tasks combine evaluation and text creation. You will rate model responses, compare alternatives, flag problems, and write improved Ukrainian answers that serve as reference examples for model training.

• Review AI-generated Ukrainian content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit.
• Identify mistranslations, register issues, ambiguous phrasing, hallucinated claims, and logic errors.
• Write high-quality Ukrainian rewrites and gold-standard reference answers.
• Compare multiple model responses and assign evaluation ratings for overall quality and correctness.
• Check for unsafe, misleading, or policy-risk language and document issues when required.
• Work primarily with text data (evaluation rating and text-generation tasks).

Requirements

We need careful, experienced language reviewers who can explain issues clearly and produce model answers that set a high bar for Ukrainian output.

• Native or near-native Ukrainian reading and writing ability (required).
• Strong professional English for clear, detailed written feedback (required).
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, or similar language work (required).
• Strong command of Ukrainian grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and multiple registers.
• High attention to detail, self-direction, and consistency as a remote contractor.
• Prior exposure to AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.

Helpful Background and Skills

These qualifications are not mandatory but will make you a stronger candidate and may match higher-skill tasks within projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, Ukrainian or English literature, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field.
• Experience keeping product or UI terminology consistent across documents or conversations.
• Familiarity with prompt-based evaluation and cross-checking factual claims.

How It Works — Apply, Work, Get Paid

OpenTrain manages hiring and contracts for this role. Successful applicants will be invited to training and calibration tasks, where you’ll learn the rubrics and sample task flows.

Work is paid hourly; rate is up to $20/hour. This role is set up for ongoing part-time engagement (20+ hours/week) and is limited to contributors located in Ukraine.
