The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting an experienced Spanish localization and AI evaluation professional to review Spanish and English outputs, create language content when needed, and score responses against detailed quality criteria. You will assess accuracy, clarity, reasoning quality, and prompt adherence while applying senior Spanish localization judgment.
The role includes careful fact-checking, diagnosis of methodology and conceptual errors, response comparison, and creation of model solutions that demonstrate the correct method. Work is fully remote and structured as hourly, part-time contractor work.

What You Will Do
You will combine linguistic expertise, editorial judgment, and structured evaluation skills to help improve AI-generated content. Your reviews should be accurate, well-documented, and consistent with applicable Spanish localization standards.
Review and evaluate AI-generated Spanish and English outputs for accuracy, clarity, and reasoning quality
Create language content and model solutions when needed to support AI learning
Fact-check names, dates, units, references, and other claims in localized content
Identify methodology, conceptual understanding, and prompt-adherence errors
Apply Spanish localization, MQM, and LQA judgment to terminology, style, and cultural nuance
Compare multiple AI responses and rate them for correctness and overall quality
Use root-cause thinking to assess MQM and LQA severity and category decisions
Requirements
This position is designed for a seasoned translation or localization professional with strong Spanish language expertise and the ability to evaluate written content in English. You should be comfortable making precise linguistic decisions, documenting issues, and maintaining consistent quality across a dependable workload.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or a related field
Native or near-native Spanish proficiency with strong command of Spain locale conventions
Minimum C1 English proficiency for reading, writing, and evaluation work
At least 5 years of professional localization or translation experience
Experience with MQM and LQA concepts, including severity, category, and root-cause analysis
Experience using CAT tools, translation memory, termbases, and QA workflows
Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and reliable fact-checking habits
Minimum C1 English reading and writing ability
