Role overview

We are hiring a Vietnamese Quality Assurance Lead to review Vietnamese AI-generated content and trainer/QA submissions. This remote contractor, part-time role focuses on quality, consistency, and documentation for Vietnamese-language projects.

• Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
• Time commitment: 20+ hours/week
• Pay: $25 USD per hour
• Allowed locations: Cambodia (KH), United States (US), Vietnam (VN)

What you'll do

You will evaluate outputs against project guidelines, provide precise written feedback, and help keep contributors aligned on expectations. This includes hands-on review and higher-level QA process improvements.

• Review Vietnamese AI outputs and trainer/QA submissions for quality and consistency
• Provide written feedback on accuracy, fluency, tone, spelling, grammar, and formatting
• Escalate recurring or critical issues and help align contributors on project expectations
• Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials
• Support onboarding and training calls for trainers and QAs
• Communicate workflow updates and quality expectations across remote teams
• Help improve scalable QA processes for Vietnamese-language projects

Requirements — must have

Candidates must meet all core language and coordination requirements and be comfortable working with common remote collaboration tools.

• Native or near-native Vietnamese proficiency with strong reading and writing skills
• Strong English communication skills for guidelines, feedback, and team coordination
• Experience in Vietnamese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review work
• Deep understanding of Vietnamese grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone markers, diacritics, register, and cultural context
• Ability to evaluate for mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect diacritics, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred
• Comfort using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems

Helpful background and preferences

These qualifications are not required but will help you succeed and may be prioritized.

• Degree in Vietnamese, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Experience with Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnamese usage differences
• Familiarity with large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA

How this role works and next steps

This is a remote contractor role engaged through OpenTrain. You will work primarily with text data and evaluation ratings; tasks include hands-on reviews, writing feedback, maintaining documentation, and occasionally joining training calls. The platform and team will provide project rubrics and examples; you will enforce and refine those standards.
