The role — what this job is
OpenTrain is hiring a Turkish Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality across Turkish-language AI training projects. This is a remote, part-time contractor role focused on reviewing Turkish AI outputs, evaluating trainer QA work, and improving Turkish QA processes.
Schedule: 20+ hours per week (part-time contractor)
Pay: $25.00 USD per hour (top rate)
Location: contractors must be based in the United States
Work type: text-focused evaluation and RLHF-style rating (EVALUATION_RATING, RLHF)
Languages required: Turkish (tr) and English (en) for communication and feedback
What you'll do day-to-day
You will be the primary reviewer and quality steward for Turkish-language projects. The role emphasizes clear written feedback, documentation upkeep, and process improvements to keep contributor work aligned with project standards.
Review Turkish AI outputs and trainer QA submissions for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, and formatting
Provide precise, written feedback to trainers and contributors and escalate recurring or critical quality issues
Communicate project updates and quality expectations to trainers and QAs
Support onboarding and training calls for contributors and run live reviews when needed
Identify workflow improvements and help strengthen scalable QA processes for Turkish-language projects
Requirements
Applicants must meet all listed requirements; OpenTrain will rely on these skills to ensure high-quality Turkish-language work and clear English communication across distributed teams.
Native or near-native Turkish proficiency with strong reading and writing ability
Strong English skills for project communication and written feedback
Background in Turkish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language-review work
Strong understanding of Turkish grammar, spelling, punctuation, vowel harmony, suffixation, agglutinative structures, tone, register, and cultural context
Comfortable working with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Turkish, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field
Must be located in the United States and able to contract as a part-time remote worker
Preferred experience
These are not strict requirements but will strengthen an application and help you succeed in a leadership QA role.
Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs
Previous work evaluating LLM outputs or participating in RLHF-style rating projects
Familiarity with localization QA or translation-quality workflows and tools
