The Role

OpenTrain is hiring a Malay Quality Assurance Lead to review AI-generated Malay content and trainer or QA submissions. You will check work against project guidelines and rubrics, provide precise written feedback, monitor Malay training workflows, and help improve quality, consistency, and clarity.

You will also help align trainers and QAs on language standards, formatting, tone, and cultural appropriateness. The role includes supporting onboarding, maintaining project documentation, and identifying recurring or critical quality issues.

What You'll Do

You will combine detailed language review with practical quality leadership. Your feedback should be clear, specific, and useful to the trainers and QAs responsible for producing consistent Malay-language work.

• Review Malay AI-generated content and trainer or QA submissions for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, meaning preservation, formatting, and instruction-following.
• Provide precise written feedback and escalate recurring or critical quality issues.
• Communicate project updates, workflow changes, and quality expectations to trainers and QAs.
• Support onboarding and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, honeypots, and quality notes.
• Help improve scalable QA processes for Malay-language work.
• Monitor Malay training workflows and help maintain consistent language standards.

Requirements

This role requires strong Malay language judgment, careful attention to detail, and the ability to explain quality decisions clearly in English. You should be comfortable evaluating content against detailed rubrics and handling language variation when project requirements call for it.

• Native or near-native Malay proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong English communication skills for clear feedback and team coordination.
• Background in Malay writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related language-review workflows.
• Strong understanding of Malay grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, formal and informal usage, and cultural context.
• Ability to evaluate Malay content against detailed rubrics.
• Ability to handle Malay language variation and code-switching when required.
• Experience supporting remote reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
