Role Overview

You will review AI-generated Malay content, produce gold-standard answers, and evaluate model outputs for accuracy, fluency, tone, cultural fit, and safety. This is a contractor, part-time role for contributors located in Malaysia, requiring 20+ hours per week at a fixed rate of USD 20/hour.

Tasks focus on text data: evaluation ratings, text generation, and question answering. Strong English is required to write detailed feedback and explanations.

What You’ll Do

• Review Malay AI outputs for correctness, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural appropriateness
• Create prompt responses and gold-standard Malay answers across domains such as general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversation
• Compare and rank multiple AI responses by quality, safety, and adherence to instructions
• Detect misleading or unsafe content, factual errors, bias, hallucinations, ambiguity, and logical inconsistencies
• Produce clear rewrites and explanatory feedback that improve the final answer and guide model behavior

Requirements

• Native or near-native Malay writing proficiency (reading and writing)
• Strong professional English for detailed written feedback
• Background in linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, literature, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation QA, editorial QA, content QA, or rubric-based evaluation
• Solid understanding of Malay grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, register, and regional variation
• Ability to identify subtle meaning shifts, literal or awkward translations, and culturally mismatched phrasing
• Comfort working as an hourly remote contractor across time zones and following rubric-based workflows
