The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an Italian Audio Language Evaluation Expert to support AI training through careful review of Italian audio clips. You will assess whether speech sounds native and fluent, evaluate pronunciation and intonation, and identify linguistic factors that affect authenticity.

What You'll Do
You will review assigned audio material according to established evaluation guidelines and explain your decisions clearly. Consistency, accuracy, and attention to subtle differences in spoken language are central to the work.
Listen to Italian audio clips and evaluate speaker or model-output nativeness and fluency.
Assess pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity.
Write concise English feedback explaining the linguistic factors behind each assessment.
Provide detailed justifications so evaluation decisions are clear and consistent.
Clarify ambiguous language content and contribute insights that support better AI model performance.
Complete assigned audio reviews accurately and on time while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements
Success in this role depends on highly developed Italian language awareness and the ability to communicate evaluations precisely in English. You should be comfortable identifying and explaining subtle differences in speech.
Native-level proficiency in Italian, including strong spoken and written command.
B2 or higher English proficiency for precise written and verbal communication.
Ability to judge nativeness, fluency, pronunciation, and intonation in Italian speech.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to articulate nuanced language differences.
Clear, accurate written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge or background in phonetics, linguistics, voice specialization, audio analysis, music, or a related field.
Ability to explain nuanced linguistic judgments consistently and clearly.
Helpful Background
