The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Dutch AI Language Quality Specialist to review AI-generated Dutch content and create gold-standard Dutch reference answers. You will provide detailed written feedback on fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, prompt adherence, and reasoning quality.

The work covers customer support, education, conversational writing, and general knowledge topics. You will also evaluate policy-risk language, hallucinated claims, mistranslations, register issues, ambiguity, and logical inconsistencies.

• Remote contractor position
• Part-time engagement of 20+ hours per week
• Hourly range of $25 to $45, with rates up to $45 per hour
• Hiring locations include the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname
• Dutch and English are important for this role

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Dutch content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit
• Create high-quality Dutch prompts and reference answers across multiple domains
• Detect mistranslation, register mismatches, ambiguity, and logical inconsistency
• Fact-check claims when needed and flag unsafe or misleading content
• Rank and compare multiple AI outputs for correctness, naturalness, clarity, and overall quality
• Write clear feedback explaining what should be improved
• Produce rewrites and model answers that reflect best practices in Dutch writing
• Evaluate subtle meaning shifts, hallucinated claims, and culturally mismatched phrasing

Required Qualifications

You should bring strong Dutch language expertise, professional English ability, and substantial experience in language-focused work. A bachelor's degree may be replaced by equivalent professional experience.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in linguistics, translation, journalism, communications, or a related field
• Native or near-native Dutch reading and writing ability
• Professional English proficiency at C1 level or higher
• At least 3 years of experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content quality assurance, journalism, education, or similar work
• Strong command of Dutch grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, style, tone, and register
• Ability to work with both Netherlands Dutch and Belgian Dutch, including vocabulary and tone differences
• Exceptional attention to detail when evaluating meaning, factuality, safety, and cultural fit

Helpful Background

Prior AI training, translation quality assurance, or editorial evaluation experience is strongly preferred. This role may suit language professionals who want to apply established Dutch writing and review practices to AI training and response evaluation.
