Why AI training matters (and why people choose it)
AI training is the human side of building intelligent systems: people prepare, review, and refine examples that modern AI models learn from. This work is remote, flexible, and accessible—many projects need strong language judgment rather than prior engineering experience.
If you enjoy language work and want tangible impact on how AI understands Dutch, this role offers hands-on influence over model behavior and contributor quality in a fast-moving field.
The role — Dutch Quality Assurance Lead
You will oversee quality and consistency across Dutch AI training projects. This is a hands-on reviewer/QA lead role focused on text tasks: evaluating AI-generated Dutch content and trainer or QA submissions against project rubrics, giving precise written feedback, and keeping contributors aligned with standards.
This is a contractor, part-time role requiring at least 20 hours per week. Work is remote but restricted to candidates based in the Netherlands.
What you'll do (key responsibilities)
Review Dutch AI outputs and trainer/QA submissions for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and preservation of meaning.
Evaluate work against project guidelines, formatting rules, and rubric-based criteria (tasks include evaluation ratings and text summarization review).
Provide clear, constructive written feedback to trainers and reviewers and communicate workflow or guideline updates.
Track recurring quality issues, maintain documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, and honeypots.
Support onboarding of new contributors and help identify workflow improvements to keep Dutch-language projects consistent and productive.
Help manage contributor activation and alignment with project expectations.
Required qualifications
Native or near-native Dutch reading and writing ability with strong editorial judgment.
Strong English communication skills for guideline interpretation and team coordination.
Experience in Dutch writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related language-review workflows.
Deep understanding of Dutch grammar, spelling, register, tone, and cultural context (Netherlands and/or Belgian Dutch knowledge is helpful).
Comfort working with remote teams, structured documentation, and fast-moving QA processes.
Ability to apply rubrics to assess AI-generated content and trainer submissions reliably.
Helpful background (nice to have)
Experience leading or supporting reviewers, annotators, editors, trainers, or QAs.
Familiarity with AI training concepts such as rubric-based LLM evaluation, prompt/response review, or annotation workflows.
Experience with Netherlands Dutch and/or Flemish (Belgian Dutch) localization nuances.
Schedule, pay, and contract details
This is a contract, part-time role. You should be available for 20+ hours per week. Work is remote but restricted to candidates located in the Netherlands.
Pay: USD 50 per hour. Tasks are primarily text-based (evaluation ratings and text summarization) and will be completed in OpenTrain's workflow.
How to apply and next steps
Create a free OpenTrain account, complete your profile with Dutch language experience, and apply directly through the platform. Applications should demonstrate your Dutch language judgment and relevant QA or localization experience.
If selected, you'll be contracted through OpenTrain AI and onboarded to project-specific rubrics, documentation, and QA tooling.
