The role — what you'll do

As a Russian Language AI Trainer you will review AI-generated Russian content, create high-quality reference answers, and evaluate model outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness. Tasks combine evaluation, editing, and short-form content generation to improve training data quality.

• Review AI-generated Russian outputs for correctness, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, register, and cultural fit.
• Write high-quality Russian reference answers and rewrites that demonstrate best practices in style and clarity.
• Compare and rank multiple model responses, assigning evaluation ratings and explaining choices.
• Identify mistranslations, meaning shifts, ambiguity, factual errors, hallucinated claims, and policy-risk language, and explain corrections clearly.
• Preserve terminology consistency, check register and meaning preservation, and flag unsafe or misleading content.

Requirements

You must meet the language and skill requirements listed below; prior experience with AI work or rubric-based evaluation is preferred but not strictly required if you have strong related language experience.

• Native or near-native Russian reading and writing ability.
• Strong professional English for following guidelines and writing detailed feedback.
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation QA, journalism, education, or related language work.
• Strong command of Russian grammar, punctuation, style, and multiple registers.
• Careful judgment for translation quality review, cultural nuance, and terminology consistency.
• Familiarity with AI model evaluation, rubric-based feedback, or prior annotation experience is preferred.

Compensation, schedule, and logistics

This is a remote contractor, part-time opportunity. Pay is $25.00 USD per hour and the expected time commitment is 20+ hours per week. OpenTrain will manage contracting and payments for this role.

• Location: Applicants must be located in Kazakhstan (KZ). Worldwide applicants are not eligible.
• Languages required: Russian (native/near-native) and strong English.

Work scope and task types

Most work involves text tasks: evaluating model outputs, writing reference answers, and assigning ratings. Expect tasks drawn from general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational domains where you will check accuracy, tone, and clarity.

• Data type: Text.
• Labeling tasks: Evaluation/rating, text generation, question answering, and RLHF-style feedback.
• You will provide clear written corrections and examples that can be used as training data or evaluation references.
