About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people with projects that shape how modern AI systems learn from human examples and help contributors grow skills and experience in this fast-growing field.

Why AI training matters

AI models learn from high-quality examples prepared and reviewed by people. Annotation work — from classifying text to verifying speech transcriptions — directly influences how systems understand language and behave in real-world use. This role gives you a hands-on way to contribute to cutting-edge AI while working remotely and flexibly.

The role

You will annotate and review Polish-language content across multiple data types (text, speech/audio, and images). Tasks include semantic classification, named-entity recognition, sentiment labels, and verifying speech transcriptions. Work is performed remotely as a contractor on a per-hour basis at $20 USD/hr.

This role requires strictly following project annotation guidelines and quality standards, reporting ambiguous or problematic data, and cooperating with the team on quality inspections and reviews. Labeling tools will be provided by the project (other/third-party annotation software).

  • Employment type: Contractor (part-time available); full-time candidates expected to be available ~8 hours/day.
  • Part-time minimum: 20 hours per week.
  • Pay: $20 USD per hour.
  • Work is remote and open worldwide.

What you'll do day-to-day

Complete assigned annotation tasks accurately and on schedule, submit results regularly, and respond to quality feedback. Promptly flag ambiguous rules, abnormal or low-quality data, and any issues that could affect annotation consistency.

  • Annotate Polish text for semantics, entities, sentiment, and other labels.
  • Verify and correct speech transcriptions for Polish audio recordings.
  • Label or review image data when language context is required.
  • Follow detailed annotation guidelines and meet quality targets.
  • Participate in periodic quality checks and revisions as requested.

Requirements

The role is entry-level but requires strong language skills and attention to detail. All listed requirements below are mandatory unless noted otherwise as preferred.

  • Native Polish speaker with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Deep familiarity with Polish local culture, idioms, and common expressions.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software; able to learn annotation tools quickly.
  • Meticulous, responsible, patient, and able to handle repetitive work efficiently.
  • Prior experience in data annotation, translation, or language-related work is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of NLP is a plus but not required.
  • Availability: full-time candidates ~8 hours/day; part-time candidates at least 20 hours/week.

Who should apply

This opportunity is well suited to native Polish speakers looking for flexible remote contract work — including students, translators, language professionals, and anyone with strong Polish language skills and an eye for detail. Prior annotation experience helps but is not required.

How the project works

You will receive project-specific annotation guidelines and quality standards to follow. Complete tasks via the provided annotation tool, submit work regularly, and address reviewer feedback when requested. Report ambiguous cases or problematic data to help improve the annotation specifications.

  • /third-party tools supplied by the project.
  • Payment: hourly contractor pay at $20 USD/hour, processed per the project's payment schedule.
