The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking an intermediate Marathi Language Review Specialist for hourly remote contractor work. You will review AI-generated Marathi content, create gold-standard reference answers, and evaluate model outputs for language quality, cultural appropriateness, accuracy, and adherence to prompts.

The role requires 20 or more hours per week and pays $20 per hour. Work is available to contractors in India, Mauritius, and Pakistan, with flexible scheduling across time zones.

What You’ll Do

You will apply careful Marathi language judgment to AI-generated text across topics such as general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing. Your work will include both detailed review and original writing.

• Review Marathi text for accuracy, naturalness, register, punctuation, and style
• Evaluate grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, prompt adherence, and meaning preservation
• Identify mistranslations, ambiguous phrasing, hallucinated claims, bias, and policy-risk language
• Write polished Marathi rewrites and gold-standard model answers
• Fact-check claims when needed and assess logical consistency
• Rank and compare multiple AI responses for correctness, fluency, tone match, and cultural fit
• Adapt wording for formal and informal audiences
• Account for dialect variation and audience-specific language choices

Required Skills and Experience

This role is designed for a native or near-native Marathi reader and writer who can explain language decisions clearly in professional English. Experience in language-focused work is important, while prior AI training experience is strongly preferred.

• Native or near-native Marathi reading and writing ability
• Strong professional English proficiency for detailed written feedback
• Deep knowledge of Marathi grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content quality assurance, journalism, education, or related work
• Experience judging Marathi fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness
• Ability to identify mistranslation, register problems, hallucinations, and logical inconsistencies
• Comfort working across formal and informal registers, dialect variation, and audience adaptation
• Prior experience with AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred
