About AI training work

AI training (data labeling/annotation) is the human work that teaches models to write, translate, summarize, and respond. It’s highly accessible, often remote and flexible, and lets contributors shape how systems behave across languages and cultures.

The role

You will review AI-generated Marathi content and produce gold-standard reference answers. Your work helps train and evaluate generative models by assessing fluency, accuracy, tone, and cultural fit, and by correcting or rewriting responses where needed.

This contractor, part-time role pays $20/hour and expects a commitment of 20+ hours per week. Work is hourly and remote; scheduling is flexible across time zones.

What you'll do day to day

Your core responsibility is high-quality Marathi text review and creation of reference outputs. Tasks vary by assignment but focus on correctness, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.

• Review Marathi text for accuracy, naturalness, grammar, punctuation, register, and style
• Detect mistranslations, ambiguous phrasing, hallucinated claims, bias, and policy-risk language
• Write polished Marathi rewrites and model answers across topics like general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing
• Rank and compare multiple AI responses by correctness, fluency, tone match, and cultural fit
• Fact-check claims when required and preserve intended meaning while improving clarity
• Adapt wording for different audiences and registers (formal vs. informal)

Requirements

• Native or near-native Marathi reading and writing ability
• Strong professional English proficiency for clear, detailed written feedback
• Deep understanding of Marathi grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, or education
• Comfort working across dialect variation and adapting register for different audiences
• Ability to spot mistranslation, register issues, hallucinations, and logical inconsistencies
• Prior experience with AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred
