The Work

You will transcribe Japanese audio and review transcripts so AI systems can learn from accurate spoken-language data. The work includes capturing meaning, context, speaker details, and subtle language differences.

• Transcribe Japanese audio samples according to project guidelines.
• Review, edit, and validate transcripts for completeness, clarity, and accuracy.
• Correct errors, inconsistencies, and unclear passages in machine-generated or human-created transcripts.
• Add metadata and contextual notes to audio files or transcripts when required.
• Use transcription tools and project platforms to process and submit your work.
• Share Japanese linguistic and cultural insights that can improve AI model performance.
• Work with project managers and other language experts to keep quality consistent.

What It Pays and Takes

This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role. Previous AI training experience is not required, but strong Japanese language ability and careful audio review are essential.

• Pay: $20 to $36 USD per hour.
• Time: Less than 20 hours per week.
• Location: Available in eligible countries listed for this role.
• Language: Native-level Japanese fluency and strong spoken and written comprehension.
• English: Proficiency needed to follow project instructions and manage occasional English-language content.
• Experience: Professional transcription, linguistic review, localization, or related language work is encouraged.
• Preferred background: Familiarity with transcription conventions, audio review workflows, annotation tools, or speech data projects.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and reliable delivery of high-quality submissions.
