OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help freelancers discover projects, consolidate proof of work, and grow a durable portfolio of AI training experience—so you can turn language expertise into long-term, flexible contract work.
Why AI training matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI. People prepare and review examples—translating, rating, writing, and editing—so models learn to behave correctly. Contributors get remote, flexible work and directly shape how state-of-the-art systems perform in real languages like Danish.
The role
You will work as a Danish Language AI Trainer reviewing AI-generated Danish content and model outputs. Your core tasks are to produce and improve expert responses, evaluate model answers against project rubrics, and write clear justifications so feedback can be used to improve model behavior.
Work type: remote contractor, part-time (CONTRACTOR, PART_TIME).
Data: text-focused tasks (TEXT) including text generation, evaluation/rating, and RLHF-style feedback.
Experience level: Intermediate.
What you'll do
Daily work includes composing or improving Danish-language responses, comparing model outputs to reference answers, and applying detailed project rubrics to rate quality. You will explain your judgments in writing so reviewers and engineers can use them to refine model behavior.
Write or improve expert Danish responses and explain your reasoning clearly.
Review source materials and model outputs against project guidelines and reference answers.
Provide clear, reproducible feedback to help models learn from errors and preferences.
Maintain consistency and high quality across repeated annotation and review tasks.
Requirements
All requirements below come from the role description. Meet these to be successful as a Danish Language AI Trainer.
Native or near-native Danish writing and editing ability.
Fluency in English for writing detailed feedback and following instructions.
Relevant professional, academic, or language expertise in Danish language review.
Experience spotting mistranslations, register problems, and cultural mismatches.
Familiarity with translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation.
Strong written communication, attention to detail, and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Comfort working independently on remote contractor tasks.
Schedule, pay, and location
This is hourly remote contractor work across time zones with a minimum expected commitment of 20+ hours per week. The hourly rate for this role is $50 USD. Candidates must be located in Denmark (DK) and able to work in Danish and English.
Who should apply
Apply if you have solid Danish language judgement, experience with translation or editorial QA, and enjoy focused, rubric-driven review work. Prior AI-training experience is helpful but not required—strong real-world language expertise and the ability to justify editorial decisions are what matter most.
Intermediate-level annotators, editors, translators, or linguists who want stable, flexible contract work.
Freelancers looking to build an OpenTrain profile and show credible AI training experience.
How to apply
Use your OpenTrain account to apply for this project. Include examples of Danish writing, translation QA notes, or prior editing work that demonstrate your language judgement. Successful applicants will be invited to a short onboarding and rubric training before beginning tasks.
