About AI Training Work

AI training (data labeling, annotation, and human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems. Contributors annotate, evaluate, and improve model outputs—work that’s remote-friendly, accessible without prior machine-learning experience, and central to shaping cutting-edge AI behavior.

The Role

As a Senior Chinese (Simplified) Localization AI Content Evaluator you will review AI-generated Chinese and English responses, create language content, and judge the quality of reasoning and step‑by‑step solutions. Your work helps improve model accuracy, clarity, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to prompts for a leading AI data services company.

This is a fully remote, hourly contractor position intended for experienced localization professionals who can provide detailed editorial feedback and perform fact‑checking according to established guidelines.

What You'll Do

  • Compare, rate, and improve AI outputs in Chinese (Simplified) and English using established evaluation criteria.
  • Assess responses for accuracy, clarity, reasoning quality, and prompt adherence.
  • Provide detailed corrective feedback and editing guidance to improve localized content.
  • Fact-check content using reliable sources and flag factual errors according to guidelines.
  • Apply MQM/LQA concepts and follow CAT tool and QA workflow procedures when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional localization or translation experience.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified).
  • Minimum C1 English proficiency (reading and writing).
  • Proven expertise with MQM/LQA concepts and experience with CAT tools and QA workflows.
  • Strong editorial judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrated fact‑checking ability.

Who Should Apply

Apply if you are an experienced Chinese (Simplified) localizer or translator who enjoys close linguistic critique and shaping AI behavior. This role suits professionals who can switch between evaluation, editing, and concise feedback while following structured guidelines.

Hours, Pay & Employment Type

This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week. Pay is hourly: typical $20/hr (range $17–$23 USD per hour). Employment type: Contractor, Part-time. Work is fully remote and open worldwide.

How It Works / Next Steps

You will work with text-based evaluation and generation tasks (label types: evaluation rating and text generation) using the client's tooling (). Apply with your resume and examples of localization or LQA work; be prepared to demonstrate MQM/LQA familiarity and to complete any short qualification tasks the client requires.
