The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Chinese Simplified QA Lead to review AI-generated Simplified Chinese content and trainer QA work for Mainland China projects. You will assess quality against project guidelines, provide precise written feedback, identify recurring issues, support onboarding, maintain documentation, and help keep contributor work consistent.

This is an expert-level, remote contractor role for someone with native or near-native Simplified Chinese writing judgment, strong English communication skills, and experience in Chinese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related review workflows.

What You’ll Do

You will help maintain consistent quality across style, terminology, tone, formatting, and rubric compliance. The role combines detailed content review with communication, documentation, contributor support, and scalable quality processes.

• Review Simplified Chinese items for accuracy, fluency, spelling, grammar, tone, cultural appropriateness, and meaning preservation
• Evaluate work against project guidelines and project-specific rubrics
• Provide clear written feedback and escalate recurring or critical quality problems
• Communicate guideline updates and workflow changes to trainers and QAs
• Support onboarding and training calls
• Maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, honeypots, and other documentation
• Help develop scalable QA processes
• Help activate inactive contributors and track follow-ups

Requirements

You should be able to make reliable Mainland China Simplified Chinese language judgments while communicating clearly in English. Strong attention to detail, organization, and comfort collaborating with distributed contributors are essential.

• Native or near-native Simplified Chinese proficiency with strong Mainland China Mandarin writing judgment
• Strong English communication for following project guidelines and giving clear feedback
• Experience reviewing or editing Simplified Chinese localization, QA, or translation work
• Experience in Simplified Chinese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related review workflows
• Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, terminology, register, tone, and localization expectations
• Ability to evaluate cultural fit and meaning preservation
• Comfort working with remote trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs
• Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, dashboards, trackers, and project management systems
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to quality review and follow-up
