The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an expert Cantonese Quality Assurance Lead for Traditional Chinese AI training work focused on the Hong Kong market. You will review AI-generated Traditional Chinese Hong Kong and Cantonese-influenced content, assess trainer and QA submissions against detailed rubrics, and provide precise written feedback.
You will also monitor recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, support onboarding, maintain quality documentation, and help keep contributors aligned as projects and expectations evolve.

What You’ll Do
You will lead language-focused quality review while helping create clear, scalable processes for distributed contributors. The work requires careful judgment, consistent application of rubrics, and strong written communication.
Review Traditional Chinese Hong Kong and Cantonese-influenced content for quality, consistency, and rubric adherence
Evaluate trainer and QA work and provide clear written feedback
Identify recurring issues in wording, terminology, tone, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and cultural fit
Assess accuracy, fluency, meaning preservation, and local writing conventions
Communicate project updates and quality expectations to remote contributors
Maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials
Support onboarding sessions and help improve scalable QA workflows
Requirements
This role requires strong Hong Kong Traditional Chinese expertise, Cantonese language judgment, and experience reviewing language or AI-related work against defined standards. You should be able to explain quality decisions precisely in English and coordinate effectively with remote contributors.
Native or near-native Traditional Chinese proficiency for Hong Kong
Strong Traditional Chinese writing ability for Hong Kong usage
Strong understanding of Cantonese, Hong Kong terminology, and local writing conventions
Strong English communication skills for precise feedback and team coordination
Experience in Traditional Chinese writing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related review workflows
Experience reviewing translation, localization, or QA work against rubrics
Experience supporting remote teams of trainers, reviewers, editors, annotators, or QAs
Familiarity with AI training, LLM evaluation, or trainer QA workflows
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and structured communication
Comfort coordinating remote contributors and maintaining documentation
