The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Chinese Language Expert with native or near-native Traditional Chinese judgment and strong English ability. You will review AI-generated responses, assess step-by-step problem-solving, and provide expert feedback on accuracy, clarity, correctness, reasoning, and prompt adherence.
The work also includes applying Chinese Traditional localization and translation expertise in an AI evaluation workflow. You will compare multiple responses, fact-check localized content, and write explanations or model solutions when needed.

What You'll Do
You will combine careful language review with structured AI evaluation. Strong performance requires editorial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to explain not only whether a response is wrong, but also why.
Review AI-generated responses for accuracy, clarity, prompt adherence, and logical reasoning.
Assess reasoning quality and step-by-step problem-solving.
Identify errors in methodology, conceptual understanding, terminology, tone, and cultural nuance.
Fact-check information and localized content.
Compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.
Write clear explanations and model solutions that demonstrate correct methods when needed.
Apply Traditional Chinese localization and translation expertise.
Use MQM or LQA thinking to assess severity, category, and root cause.
Requirements
This is listed as an entry-level opportunity, but the work calls for strong language judgment and familiarity with localization quality processes. Previous AI training, annotation, or evaluation experience is preferred rather than required.
Native or near-native Traditional Chinese proficiency and writing judgment
C1-level English reading and writing for prompts and guidelines
Experience in translation, linguistics, localization, communications, or a related field
Familiarity with MQM or LQA concepts and decision-making
Ability to analyze severity, category, and root cause
Comfort with CAT tools, translation memory, termbases, and automated checks
Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
Ability to fact-check localized content
Comfort reviewing AI-generated answers for correctness and reasoning quality
Helpful Background
Experience with terminology management, style guides, copyediting, multilingual localization, or QA workflows will help you succeed. Dependable contractor availability, clear documentation, and responsiveness across time zones are also helpful.
