The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an expert Bulgarian Quality Assurance Lead to support Bulgarian AI training projects. You will review Bulgarian content and trainer or QA work, assess performance against project guidelines, provide precise written feedback, and help contributors meet standards for language quality and instruction-following.
The role also includes communicating updates, supporting onboarding, maintaining quality documentation, identifying recurring issues, and helping activate contributors who are not working consistently.

What You'll Do
Review Bulgarian content and trainer or QA work for quality, consistency, and rubric adherence
Provide written feedback on accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit
Communicate workflow changes, quality expectations, and project updates to trainers and QAs
Answer questions about Bulgarian wording, translation fidelity, terminology, and edge cases
Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials
Help run onboarding and training calls for trainers and QAs
Identify recurring quality gaps and propose workflow improvements
Help activate contributors who are not working consistently
Requirements
You should have native or near-native Bulgarian proficiency, strong English skills, and excellent Bulgarian reading and writing ability. Your background should include Bulgarian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or a related language review workflow.
Strong knowledge of Bulgarian grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, Cyrillic script, tone, register, word order, aspect, definiteness, and cultural context is required. You should also be able to evaluate translation quality, cultural appropriateness, and rubric-based AI training work.
Strong Bulgarian and English skills
Native or near-native Bulgarian proficiency
Strong Bulgarian grammar, writing, editing, and language-review ability
Understanding of Bulgarian punctuation, Cyrillic script, tone, register, word order, aspect, and definiteness
Ability to assess translation fidelity, cultural appropriateness, and rubric adherence
Experience with localization QA, feedback writing, or LLM evaluation is preferred
Experience leading or supporting remote teams is preferred
Tools and Working Style
This role requires comfort working in organized remote workflows and communicating clear, actionable feedback. You should be comfortable maintaining shared documentation, tracking quality trends, answering contributor questions, and supporting consistent standards across distributed teams.
Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
Experience using trackers, dashboards, and project management systems
