About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback) is the human work that teaches models how to write and understand language. Contributors annotate, evaluate, and improve model outputs—work that is remote, flexible, and accessible to people with language skills and editorial experience.

This project centers on Telugu language quality: you will be shaping how Telugu-language AI responses read and behave, across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.

The role

We are hiring Telugu Language Quality Reviewers to evaluate AI-generated Telugu text, produce gold-standard reference answers, and write clear, actionable feedback. This is a part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week.

Work will focus on text data and includes RLHF-style evaluation, rating model responses, and creating model answers. Open to candidates located in India (IN), United States (US), and United Arab Emirates (AE).

What you'll do

• Review Telugu model outputs for accuracy, grammar, spelling, tone, and adherence to the prompt
• Identify mistranslations, ambiguity, logical inconsistency, hallucinations, and culturally mismatched phrasing
• Fact-check claims when needed and write clearer rewrites or model answers
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and overall quality
• Create prompts and gold-standard Telugu answers across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing

Requirements

You must have strong Telugu reading and writing ability and professional English skills to write detailed feedback.

• Native or near-native Telugu reading and writing
• Strong professional English proficiency for writing detailed feedback
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language work
• Familiarity with Telugu grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and regional variation
• Ability to compare AI responses for fluency, fidelity, safety, and tone
• Prior AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation experience is strongly preferred

Helpful background

• Degree in Linguistics, Telugu or English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field
• Comfort evaluating safety, bias, policy-risk language, and factual reliability in AI outputs
