About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect language experts and reviewers with consistent, remote AI training work so contributors can track projects, build a portfolio, and grow a durable freelance career.

Why AI training matters

AI systems learn from examples people create and review. As a Swedish QA Lead you will directly influence how models write and respond in Swedish—improving fluency, cultural appropriateness, and user trust. This is flexible, remote work that often fits part-time schedules while keeping you on the cutting edge of language technology.

The role

You will monitor and improve Swedish-language output and trainer QA across OpenTrain projects. This leadership role focuses on rubric-driven evaluation, precise written feedback, maintaining documentation, and helping sustain healthy contributor workflows.

  • Position type: Contractor, part-time (20+ hours/week)
  • Work location: Remote — must be based in Sweden
  • Pay: $60 USD per hour
  • Labeling focus: Text evaluation (EVALUATION_RATING) and RLHF-style reviews

What you'll do

  • Review AI-generated Swedish content and trainer QA submissions against project guidelines and rubrics
  • Assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, meaning preservation, formatting, and instruction following
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback; escalate recurring or critical quality issues
  • Maintain and update style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, and honeypots
  • Support onboarding and training calls for Swedish-language contributors
  • Communicate project updates, workflow changes, and quality expectations to trainers and QAs
  • Help activate and coach contributors who are inactive or inconsistent
  • Identify and propose process improvements to strengthen Swedish QA workflows

Requirements

You must be fluent in Swedish and English and experienced with Swedish writing, editing, translation, localization, or QA. The role demands excellent attention to detail, a structured feedback style, and the ability to evaluate translation fidelity, register, terminology, and cultural nuance.

  • Strong Swedish and English communication skills (required)
  • Experience with Swedish writing, editing, translation, localization, or QA (required)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to give structured written feedback
  • Comfortable working across remote teams and documenting quality standards

Helpful background

You don't need prior AI-labeling experience, but familiarity with LLM evaluation or AI training workflows and prior experience creating documentation or style guides for language review are advantageous.

  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation, RLHF, or other AI training workflows (helpful)
  • Experience building style guides, examples, or onboarding materials for language QA (helpful)

How this works & next steps

OpenTrain AI is the contracting organization for this role. If you already have an OpenTrain account, apply and include examples of Swedish editing, translations, or QA feedback you’ve produced. Applications should note availability for 20+ hours/week and confirm you are based in Sweden.

We’ll evaluate submitted examples against our rubrics and may ask you to complete a short qualification exercise. Successful candidates will receive project briefings, access to documentation, and onboarding support so you can begin reviewing and mentoring contributors.

  • Apply with samples that demonstrate Swedish language quality and feedback style
  • Be prepared for a short qualification task that reflects real review work
  • Work is paid hourly at $60 USD; schedule is flexible but requires 20+ hours/week
