In this role, your Russian language judgment will directly support generative AI improvement. You will assess how well models understand prompts and communicate across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.

The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an intermediate-level Russian Language AI Trainer to review AI-generated Russian content, create high-quality Russian reference answers, and evaluate model outputs. You will assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, register, cultural appropriateness, and prompt adherence.
The work also involves identifying mistranslations, meaning shifts, ambiguity, logical inconsistencies, hallucinated claims, and policy-risk language. You will provide precise written feedback, rewrites, and model answers that demonstrate best practices in Russian writing.

What You’ll Do
You will compare multiple AI responses and rate their overall quality using detailed evaluation criteria. Clear explanations matter: your feedback should help identify what went wrong and show how the response could be improved.
Review AI-generated Russian outputs for correctness, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit
Write high-quality Russian reference content and rewrites when needed
Compare and rank multiple model responses for overall quality
Check meaning preservation, register, terminology consistency, and factual reliability
Flag unsafe, misleading, or hallucinated content
Explain corrections clearly in written feedback
Evaluate responses across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing
Requirements
This role requires native or near-native Russian reading and writing ability, along with strong professional English for following guidelines and providing detailed feedback. You should be comfortable making careful judgments about language quality, cultural nuance, and terminology.
Native or near-native Russian proficiency with strong reading and writing ability

Helpful Background
Prior AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation experience is preferred. Experience with product or user-interface localization is also helpful.
A degree in linguistics, Russian or English literature, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field may support your application. You should also be comfortable working independently in an hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones.
