The role

As a Romanian Language AI Reviewer you will assess AI-generated Romanian content, create high-quality reference responses, and provide precise written feedback on accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to prompts.

You will identify mistranslations, register mismatches, ambiguous or logically inconsistent content, hallucinated claims, and policy-risk language, then produce rewrites and model answers that reflect best practices in Romanian writing.

What you'll do

• Review AI-generated Romanian content for correctness, fluency, tone, and cultural fit.
• Create gold-standard Romanian reference content across domains such as general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.
• Detect errors in meaning, mistranslation, awkward literal phrasing, and inconsistent terminology.
• Fact-check claims when needed and rewrite content to improve clarity and concision without changing meaning.
• Compare multiple AI responses and judge which version is stronger on structure, safety, fidelity, and tone.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback in English following project guidelines and rubrics.

Requirements

Candidates must preserve every requirement listed below; these are essential for successful performance on the project.

• Native or near-native Romanian reading and writing ability.
• Strong professional English for detailed written feedback and guideline following.
• Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
• Strong understanding of Romanian grammar, spelling conventions, diacritics, punctuation, and style.
• Comfortable handling formal and informal registers and maintaining consistent product or UI terminology.
• Prior experience with AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.

Helpful background

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Romanian or English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field.
• Background in model evaluation, language QA, or prompt-response writing.
• Experience spotting hallucinations, bias, or unsafe language in AI outputs.

Project details & how it works

This is contract, hourly remote work with hiring focused on Romania. Expect part-time contractor work at roughly 20+ hours per week.

You will work on text data (EVALUATION_RATING and TEXT_GENERATION tasks) and submit evaluations and rewritten reference responses in English and Romanian according to project rubrics.

• Pay: up to $20.00 USD per hour.
• Location: hiring focus Romania (candidates should be based in RO).
• Time: 20+ hours/week (part-time contractor).
• Hiring headcount: up to 100 total across countries.
• Language: Romanian (work) and English (feedback and guidelines).
