The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Parametric CAD Data Generation and Validation Specialist to create and validate parametric CAD data for AI model training. You will combine practical mechanical design with dataset generation, producing accurate FreeCAD models and maintaining documentation that supports reproducibility and technical transparency.
The work includes building reusable digital representations of mechanical parts, assemblies, and design features. You will also review model quality, apply engineering judgment, and revise deliverables as project requirements evolve.

What You'll Do
You will be responsible for both CAD dataset generation and validation. Your work should reflect sound mechanical design practices, accurate geometry, thoughtful parametrization, and clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Produce, edit, and validate precise parametric CAD models using FreeCAD.
Build a diverse library of mechanical parts, assemblies, and features for AI dataset creation.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles to reflect real-world mechanical design standards.
Review CAD data for geometric accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve quality issues.
Implement feedback and revisions as project requirements evolve.
Document modeling workflows and design decisions for technical traceability.
Use Python scripting where helpful to automate modeling tasks, improve parametrization, and enrich the resulting dataset.
Required Qualifications
