The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an Odia QA Team Lead to oversee quality across Odia AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Odia content as well as trainer and QA submissions, provide precise written feedback, identify recurring issues, and help remote contributors stay aligned with project guidelines.
This is an expert-level, part-time contractor role requiring 20 or more hours per week. The opportunity is available in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Thailand, with compensation of up to $30 per hour.

What You’ll Do
You will combine detailed language review with team support and process improvement. Your feedback should be clear, actionable, and grounded in project rubrics so contributors can correct issues and maintain consistent quality.
Review Odia AI training content and trainer or QA submissions
Check accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural fit, and meaning preservation
Evaluate formatting, terminology, and adherence to project rubrics
Identify mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology
Provide clear written feedback and escalate recurring or critical issues
Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, and onboarding materials
Support onboarding, training, and quality alignment for remote contributors
Identify workflow improvements and strengthen scalable Odia QA processes
Required Qualifications
You should bring advanced Odia language ability, strong English communication skills, and at least three years of relevant experience. Relevant backgrounds include Odia writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related workflows.
Native or near-native Odia proficiency with strong reading and writing ability
Strong English communication for guidelines and team feedback
Deep understanding of Odia grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, and cultural context
Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics
Experience reviewing translation, localization, or QA work
Ability to identify meaning loss, ambiguity, unnatural language, and terminology issues
At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field or workflow
Preferred Background
Experience leading or supporting remote teams is strongly preferred. Familiarity with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt or response evaluation, and rubric-based LLM QA will help you contribute effectively.
Degree in Odia, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field
Experience supporting remote teams
Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, or project management systems
Familiarity with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or quality workflows
