The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an intermediate Norwegian Language Specialist to review AI-generated Norwegian content, create reference answers, and judge language quality with care. You will assess whether responses are accurate, fluent, culturally appropriate, logically consistent, and faithful to the prompt.
This is a part-time contractor role for candidates in Norway, requiring 20 or more hours per week. Compensation is $55 per hour.

What You'll Do
You will evaluate multiple dimensions of Norwegian AI performance and provide clear, well-supported judgments. Your feedback will help improve model behavior across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.
- Review Norwegian AI outputs for meaning, translation quality, register, tone, and cultural fit
- Write high-quality rewrites and reference answers in Norwegian
- Flag factual errors, hallucinations, ambiguity, bias, and policy-risk language
- Compare model responses and assess which is stronger for fluency, fidelity, and clarity
- Check grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, tone, prompt adherence, and logical consistency
- Fact-check content and explain language or meaning differences clearly
Requirements
This role requires advanced Norwegian language ability and strong English proficiency for detailed written feedback. Relevant experience in language, editorial, educational, or quality-focused work is important.
- Native or near-native Norwegian reading and writing ability
- Strong English proficiency for detailed written feedback
- Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content quality assurance, journalism, education, or related language work
- Ability to explain grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and meaning differences clearly
- Familiarity with Bokmål and/or Nynorsk is a plus
- Prior AI data training, translation quality assurance, editorial quality assurance, or rubric-based evaluation experience is preferred
