About AI training work
AI training (data labeling, annotation, and human feedback) is the human side of building modern AI: people create, review, and rate examples that teach models to understand language, images, and audio. These roles are mostly remote, flexible, and accessible — contributors directly shape how state-of-the-art AI systems behave.
This position focuses on language quality, localization, and trainer performance for Latvian projects. It’s ideal for people who enjoy detailed language work, mentoring contributors, and improving processes that scale.
The Role
You will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Latvian AI training projects. Your main responsibility is to review Latvian AI-generated content and trainer/QAs submissions, evaluate them against guidelines and rubrics, and deliver precise written feedback that helps contributors meet expected standards.
Assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and rubric adherence.
Identify recurring quality issues and escalate or document them for resolution.
Support onboarding and ongoing alignment for trainers and QAs, including calls and materials.
What you'll do
Review Latvian AI training content and trainer or QA submissions for quality and consistency.
Evaluate work against project guidelines, style requirements, and detailed rubrics.
Provide precise, constructive written feedback and escalate recurring or critical issues.
Maintain and update project documentation: style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
Communicate workflow updates, quality expectations, and language guidance to trainers and QAs.
Support onboarding and training calls for contributors and help activate inconsistent contributors.
Help improve Latvian-language QA workflows and contributor alignment over time.
Requirements
To do this work you must be confident in Latvian language and able to communicate clearly in English about guidelines and feedback.
Native or near-native Latvian proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
Strong English communication skills for writing guidelines and feedback.
Experience in Latvian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, or annotation.
Deep understanding of Latvian grammar, spelling, punctuation, declension, case endings, gender agreement, tone, register, and cultural context.
Ability to evaluate content for mistranslation, awkward phrasing, missing diacritics, inconsistent terminology, and related quality issues.
Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, or similar workflow tools is a plus.
