About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or data annotation) is how people teach models to understand language, audio, images, and more. Recordings you create are used as examples and references so models learn natural phrasing, pronunciation, timing, and expression in Italian.

The role

We are recruiting an Italian Audio Recording Expert to produce native Italian audio from provided scripts and prompts. This contract position focuses on recording clear, natural speech with consistent pacing, pronunciation, and intonation so AI systems can learn from high-quality human examples.

• Estimated time commitment: about 20 hours/week for 1–3 months
• Pay: $20–$40 per hour (projects estimated at $3,200–$6,400 based on schedule and duration)

What you'll do

Your primary responsibility is to record native Italian audio according to project scripts and guidelines, deliver clean files, and provide clear feedback when recording instructions need refinement.

• Record high-quality native Italian audio from provided scripts or prompts.
• Maintain natural speech, appropriate pacing, accurate pronunciation, and expressive intonation.
• Use professional recording equipment and software to capture clean, low-noise files.
• Deliver audio files securely and on schedule following project naming and formatting rules.
• Report issues and suggest improvements to recording guidelines when necessary.

Requirements

You must meet the core qualifications listed below and be able to work independently as a remote contractor.

• Native or near-native Italian fluency with excellent diction and pronunciation.
• Experience with voice recording, narration, dubbing, podcasting, or similar audio work.
• Access to professional-quality recording equipment and a quiet recording environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Italian.
• Ability to follow detailed scripts and project instructions precisely.

Schedule, pay, and logistics

This is part-time remote contractor work estimated at about 20 hours per week for 1–3 months. Scheduling is flexible so you can choose hours that fit your availability.

Compensation is hourly at $20–$40/hr depending on experience and quality of recordings. Based on the typical schedule and duration shown on OpenTrain, estimated project earnings are $3,200–$6,400.

• Payment model: PAY_PER_HOUR in USD.
• Language required: Italian (it).
• Worldwide applicants are welcome; contractors must provide their own equipment and internet access.
