  • Contribute to practical speech technology and multilingual AI development
  • Flexible project work can fit around other professional, academic, or personal commitments

The Role

  • Record and capture clear French and English audio according to project guidelines
  • Transcribe recorded segments with precise alignment between spoken content and written text
  • Annotate audio files with metadata tags and linguistic notes for downstream data use
  • Review audio quality and usability, identifying and correcting inconsistencies or errors
  • Follow instructions for recording environments, equipment settings, and file naming conventions
  • Coordinate deliverables with project managers and technical specialists
  • Share practical feedback on tools and workflows to support future improvements

Required Skills and Experience

This role combines native-level French language judgment with professional audio and transcription skills. You should be comfortable following detailed specifications, evaluating recordings analytically, and producing consistent, accurate outputs.

  • Native-level fluency in French as used in France
  • Professional proficiency in English for bilingual recording and project communication
  • Experience in audio engineering, sound recording, or related audio production
  • Practical expertise in transcription, audio annotation, and metadata tagging
  • Familiarity with professional audio recording software, tools, and studio equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications
  • Analytical judgment for identifying errors and validating audio quality
