The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Arabic-English AI Response Evaluation Expert to support AI training focused on bilingual response evaluation. You will review Arabic and English model outputs, create training content, and explain your judgments clearly so that feedback can be applied consistently across repeated review tasks.

The role is listed as entry level, and prior AI training, annotation, or evaluation experience is helpful but not required. Strong language expertise, careful analysis, and the ability to apply detailed guidelines are central to success.

What You'll Do

You will assess the quality of AI-generated responses in both Arabic and English, while also producing examples that demonstrate strong methods and clear reasoning. Your written feedback will help improve model performance and maintain consistent standards.

Reviews must account for language quality as well as accuracy, context, logic, and cultural appropriateness. You will work independently in a remote, asynchronous contractor environment.

• Write or improve expert responses and explain reasoning clearly
• Review source materials and model outputs against project guidelines
• Evaluate and rank responses for accuracy, fluency, contextual relevance, and reasoning quality
• Identify methodological errors, conceptual gaps, factual inaccuracies, bias, and unclear explanations
• Create prompts, model solutions, and bilingual examples showing correct methods
• Explain evaluation decisions clearly and apply rubrics consistently
• Use Arabic localization conventions for MENA terminology, formatting, and cultural nuance

Requirements

You should bring relevant professional or academic expertise in linguistics, translation, Arabic language, communications, journalism, or a related field. The role requires strong bilingual writing and editing judgment, reliable fact-checking habits, and close attention to detail.

Applicants should have at least three years of experience in translation, localization, editorial quality assurance, content quality, or linguistic review, or equivalent experience. You must also be able to work independently while following detailed evaluation rubrics.

• Native or near-native Arabic writing and editing ability
• Strong command of Modern Standard Arabic and at least one major Arabic dialect
• C1 or higher English reading and writing proficiency
• Experience in translation, localization, editorial QA, content quality, or linguistic review
• Ability to detect reasoning gaps, methodological errors, factual inaccuracies, bias, and unclear explanations
• Strong fact-checking habits and attention to detail
• Consistent application of detailed evaluation rubrics
• Familiarity with Arabic MENA localization conventions
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous contractor environment
