Traditional Chinese-Speaking Taiwan QA Lead

As a Traditional Chinese QA Lead, you will review AI-generated Traditional Chinese and trainer QA work for Taiwan-focused AI training projects. You will assess work against project rubrics, give clear written feedback, monitor quality, and help contributors follow changing guidelines.

• Review Traditional Chinese Taiwan and Taiwan Mandarin content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, cultural fit, meaning preservation, formatting, and rubric adherence.
• Find recurring quality issues and share updates with trainers and QAs.
• Answer questions about Taiwan Mandarin wording, Traditional Chinese conventions, translation fidelity, localization terms, and difficult cases.
• Maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Run onboarding and training calls covering expectations, workflows, rubrics, and Taiwan-specific style requirements.
• Help activate inactive contributors and support QA workflows across remote teams.

What it pays and takes

This is a part-time contract role for an experienced language reviewer and QA lead. A degree in a relevant field and experience with AI training are helpful but not required.

• Pay: $45 per hour.
• Time: 20+ hours per week.
• Location: Open to candidates in Taiwan.
• Languages: Fluent Traditional Chinese for Taiwan and strong English communication skills.
• Experience: 3+ years in Traditional Chinese writing, Mandarin editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review work.
• Language knowledge: Strong understanding of Taiwan Mandarin usage, terminology, tone, register, punctuation, formatting, and cultural context.
• Leadership: Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
• Tools: Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
• Helpful education: A degree in Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Mandarin, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field.
• Helpful experience: AI training, large language models, prompt or response evaluation, rubric-based LLM QA, Taiwan-specific vocabulary, product or UI localization, and detection of simplified Chinese leakage.
