The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Technology Transactions Contract Review Attorney to support legal AI training and evaluation. You will apply practical legal judgment to contract scenarios, simulated negotiations, redlines, and AI-generated responses.

The role is part-time, remote, and structured as a contractor engagement. Work is available worldwide, with English as the required working language and a commitment of 20 or more hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will help assess and improve how AI systems understand technology transactions and respond to contract-related tasks. Your work will combine legal analysis, structured evaluation, and clear written feedback.

• Perform simulated negotiations and redlining exercises involving technology transactions.
• Review AI responses to contract scenarios for accuracy, legal risk, and output precision.
• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for AI performance on contract tasks.
• Refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.
• Apply consistent analytical judgment when evaluating contract language and model outputs.
• Translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback for AI training.

Required Qualifications

This opportunity is intended for an experienced technology-transactions attorney. Although the source listing identifies the experience level as entry level, the role requires at least three years of relevant technology-transactions experience along with active U.S. bar admission.

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least three years of experience focused on technology transactions.
• Experience negotiating or reviewing MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.
• Ability to assess legal risk and contract language in AI-generated responses.
• Ability to create objective evaluation criteria for legal AI performance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
