The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Technology Transactions Contract Review Attorney for legal AI training and evaluation. You will apply practical experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining to simulated legal workflows, assessing how accurately AI systems identify contractual issues, interpret provisions, and evaluate risk.

What You'll Do

You will turn sophisticated legal judgment into structured feedback and evaluation criteria for AI systems working with technology contracts. The role combines simulated transactional exercises, model-response review, and the development of reliable standards for contract analysis.

  • Perform simulated negotiations and redlining exercises involving technology contracts
  • Review AI-generated responses to contract scenarios
  • Identify issues in legal reasoning, risk assessment, and contract interpretation
  • Provide expert feedback to improve model precision and legal judgment
  • Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI performance
  • Refine review data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract analysis

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be able to combine practical technology transactions experience with clear written explanations of contractual risk and legal reasoning. The role requires both substantive legal judgment and the ability to translate that judgment into actionable feedback for AI systems.

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • At least three years of counsel experience focused on technology transactions
  • Hands-on experience negotiating or reviewing MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs
  • Ability to assess AI-generated legal responses
  • Ability to explain contractual risk clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail and analytical judgment

Helpful Background

Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives is helpful. Experience in a corporate law firm is also welcome.
