The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Tamil Audio Language Evaluation Expert to review audio clips used in language and AI training work. You will determine whether Tamil speech or model output sounds native and fluent, assess pronunciation and intonation, and explain the linguistic reasoning behind your decisions.

Your evaluations will help improve AI systems that understand and generate Tamil. The work requires careful listening, consistent application of evaluation guidelines, and the ability to communicate nuanced language judgments clearly in English.

What You’ll Do

You will listen closely to Tamil audio and provide accurate, well-supported evaluations. Each decision should be understandable to reviewers and consistent with the applicable project guidelines.

• Evaluate speaker or model output for Tamil nativeness and fluency
• Assess pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity
• Identify important linguistic factors in clear written English feedback
• Provide detailed justifications for nuanced evaluation decisions
• Apply audio evaluation guidelines consistently
• Clarify ambiguous language requirements with project coordinators
• Complete assigned audio reviews accurately while maintaining high quality

Requirements

Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Tamil is required. You must be able to distinguish subtle differences in fluency, pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic authenticity, then explain those judgments clearly in English.

At least B2 English proficiency is required for written and verbal communication. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and consistent evaluation judgment are essential.
