The role

We are hiring a Creative Writer (contract, part-time) to produce and refine Spanish-language dialogue for LLM chatbot training. This is a remote role but you must be located in Spain and be a native Spanish speaker from Spain who has lived in the country for five or more years.

Pay is $18.74 USD per hour. The project offers flexible scheduling with a required minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and a preferred commitment of 20+ hours per week.

What you'll do

Your main task is to write culturally authentic, natural-sounding Spanish responses that help conversational AI understand and produce realistic dialogue. You will also edit and improve AI-generated text to ensure clarity, tone, and cultural appropriateness.

• Generate high-quality prompt responses and dialogue in Spain Spanish.
• Refine and edit AI outputs for accuracy, tone, and natural phrasing.
• Adapt language to regional nuances and cultural context within Spain.
• Follow project guidelines and deliver consistent, reviewable work.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the location and language requirements and be able to demonstrate strong creative-writing experience. We evaluate prior writing tasks on data-labeling/AI training platforms favorably, especially writing (not only rating) tasks.

• Native Spanish speaker from Spain and currently residing in Spain; 5+ years living in Spain required.
• Strong written Spanish with excellent grammar, tone control, and editing skills.
• Preferably 5+ years of creative or content writing in Spanish (preferred, not strictly required).
• Experience writing responses on data-labeling or AI-training platforms is highly preferred.
• Portfolio of published work in Spanish is preferred; be ready to share links or samples.
• Basic understanding of English to follow instructions and communicate with the team.
• Familiarity with AI chatbot tools (e.g., large-chat models) is a plus.
• Be prepared to state your highest level of education and how many years/months you’ve worked on writing tasks for AI training.

Interview and short test

The interview includes screening questions about your writing experience on AI-training platforms and how long you’ve done that work. A short practical test follows: questions are provided in English and Spanish, but responses must be written in Spanish. Test performance strongly impacts qualification.

• Test Question 1 (Spanish): "Describe brevemente un personaje único y vívido utilizando un lenguaje creativo. Tu descripción debe incluir al menos dos rasgos distintivos."
• Test Question 2 (Spanish): "Redacta un correo electrónico corto a tu supervisor solicitando comentarios sobre el 'Informe Financiero Trimestral' que preparaste. Centra tu solicitud en el análisis de datos y el estilo de presentación."
• Test Question 3 (Spanish): "Escribe un correo electrónico conciso para convencer a un amigo introvertido de participar como orador invitado en un evento local. Destaca dos beneficios de participar y aborda una preocupación potencial que pueda tener."
