About OpenTrain

OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role and the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect skilled professionals with cutting-edge projects where human judgment helps improve how artificial intelligence works.

As an OpenTrain contractor, you can build a profile that showcases credible AI training experience, discover projects aligned with your expertise, and apply in minutes. Creating an OpenTrain account is free.

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building modern AI systems. Contributors review, organize, evaluate, and improve examples that models learn from, helping make their outputs more accurate, useful, and understandable.

This project applies that process to executive-level business presentations. Your product and engineering judgment will help create high-quality training material that preserves technical meaning while improving clarity for senior audiences.

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Product and Engineering PowerPoint Review Expert to analyze product and engineering slides, reconstruct them in Microsoft PowerPoint, and apply expert judgment to improve their quality. Source material may include roadmaps, architectural overviews, and program updates.

You will preserve technical accuracy, original context, definitions, and important caveats while improving the way complex information is communicated. This is a part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20 or more hours per week, with compensation of $150 to $350 per hour.

  • Contractor and part-time engagement
  • 20+ hours per week
  • Pay range: $150 to $350 USD per hour
  • English-language work
  • Remote opportunity available in the countries listed for this project

What You'll Do

You will combine presentation design expertise with product and engineering judgment. Each review should make the underlying message clearer without changing the evidence, technical meaning, or intended context.

You will also document the reasoning behind your recommendations, including changes you deliberately reject. Your feedback should be practical and understandable to engineering leads and senior executives.

  • Analyze images of product and engineering slides.
  • Recreate slide text, charts, layouts, definitions, and critical caveats accurately in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Improve content, visual hierarchy, data visualization, titles, and supporting visuals.
  • Maintain the original technical context while making complex information clearer.
  • Explain the reasoning behind each improvement.
  • Document changes or improvements you deliberately reject.
  • Provide plain-language feedback for engineering leads and senior executives.

Requirements

This role is listed at the entry level, but the project requires demonstrated professional expertise in product management, engineering leadership, or technical program management. Strong presentation judgment and the ability to explain design and content decisions are essential.

Experience with AI model training, evaluation, or rubric-writing is helpful but not required. Industry practitioners and consultants with product or engineering expertise are encouraged to apply, and a consulting-firm background is not necessary.

  • At least three years of experience in product management, engineering leadership, or technical program management.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations for senior stakeholders or client audiences.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including accurate slide reconstruction, content editing, data visualization, and presentation design.
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail when evaluating design and content decisions.
  • Exceptional written communication.
  • Ability to explain message hierarchy, evidence-supported titles, and visual choices.

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is well suited to product leaders, engineering professionals, technical program managers, and consultants who regularly turn complex information into clear executive communication. It may also appeal to experienced presentation specialists who understand product and engineering content deeply.

If you enjoy analyzing how a presentation communicates, strengthening its visual and written logic, and defending your recommendations with clear reasoning, your expertise can directly support the development of better AI systems.

  • Product management professionals
  • Engineering leaders and experienced engineering practitioners
  • Technical program managers
  • Presentation experts with strong product or engineering knowledge
  • Industry practitioners and consultants
