The Role

As Portuguese Quality Assurance Lead, you will oversee quality and trainer performance across Portuguese AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Portuguese content along with trainer and QA submissions, evaluate work against project guidelines and rubrics, provide precise written feedback, and help maintain consistent standards across Portuguese language workflows.

What You'll Do

You will combine detailed Portuguese language review with contributor support and workflow improvement. The work requires careful judgment, clear written communication, and consistent use of project rubrics and style guidance.

• Review Portuguese AI training outputs and trainer or QA submissions for quality and consistency
• Check accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, formatting, and meaning preservation
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, terminology inconsistency, and cultural issues
• Evaluate whether content follows project instructions and applicable rubrics
• Share clear written feedback and escalate recurring or critical quality problems
• Support onboarding, FAQs, trackers, documentation, examples, and style guides
• Coordinate workflow updates with contributors
• Help improve QA processes for Portuguese language projects

Requirements

This role requires native or near-native Portuguese writing and editing ability, strong English communication, and professional experience in language or quality-focused work. Familiarity with Brazilian and European Portuguese is important for assessing regional usage and localization choices.

• Native or near-native Portuguese proficiency with strong reading and writing ability
• Strong English communication skills for guidelines, feedback, and coordination
• Professional experience in Portuguese writing, editing, translation, localization, QA, or AI training workflows
• Strong understanding of Portuguese grammar, register, regional usage, and Brazil-specific localization
• Experience reviewing translation or localization quality
• Comfort using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, dashboards, and project trackers
• Familiarity with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus

Relevant academic or professional experience can help you succeed in this lead-level quality role, particularly when it involves language judgment, editing, translation, education, or remote contributor support.

• Degree in Portuguese, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, or quality assurance
