The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a remote Javanese Language Translation Specialist to translate, localize, review, and improve Javanese text for AI training projects. You will help create glossaries and style guidance, perform linguistic QA, and collaborate remotely with technical and non-technical teammates.

This is a part-time contractor role, under 20 hours per week, suitable for entry-level contributors with translation or localization experience and native-level Javanese fluency.

What You’ll Do

• Translate and localize documents, content, and communications to and from Javanese.
• Conduct linguistic reviews and quality assurance to ensure grammatical, cultural, and contextual accuracy.
• Develop, edit, and proofread written Javanese materials for clarity and consistency.
• Help create and maintain glossaries, style guides, and localization best practices.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal form with distributed teammates and project managers.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Javanese with awareness of regional dialects and variations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Javanese and English.
• Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Cultural sensitivity to Javanese-speaking communities and contexts.
• Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively online.

Compensation, Time, and Project Details

Pay structure: hourly contractor rate. OpenTrain AI offers a competitive range based on experience and task complexity.

Workload and schedule: part-time contractor engagement, typically less than 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

• Pay: USD $45–$95 per hour (rates assigned per project and experience).
