The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Voice Recording Specialist for a remote audio data project. You will record Japanese sentences and specific vehicle-related background sounds while following detailed linguistic, technical, and recording-quality requirements.
This is a contractor role for Japan- and United States-based professionals. Previous AI experience is not required, but experience with audio labeling workflows and Japanese-English language quality review is required.

What You’ll Do
You will create and review audio data in a quiet office or stationary vehicle. The work requires careful pronunciation, control of background noise, close attention to recording quality, and accurate written feedback.
Record Japanese sentences with natural fluency and clear pronunciation
Produce sounds such as seatbelt clicks, door openings, and vehicle indicator signals
Follow detailed linguistic, technical, and recording-quality guidelines
Review and submit high-quality audio recordings
Provide required written feedback
Communicate with project coordinators about deliverables and project updates
Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable data-use and project guidelines
Requirements
This project is designed for Japanese-English bilingual professionals with strong communication skills and a reliable, detail-oriented approach to remote deliverables.
Native-level Japanese proficiency, natural fluency, and clear pronunciation
Fluent English proficiency and B2-level English or higher
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English
Ability to work comfortably in both English and Japanese
Experience with audio labeling workflows
Experience with text generation, evaluation rating, and translation or localization tasks
Subject-matter expertise in Japanese and English language quality review
Ability to follow detailed instructions and project specifications
