The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Hindi Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Hindi AI training projects. You will review Hindi AI outputs and trainer QA submissions, assess them against project standards, and provide precise written feedback.

The role combines Hindi language expertise, rubric-based evaluation, contributor support, documentation, and process improvement. You will also help identify recurring quality issues and support the activation of contributors who are not working consistently.

What You'll Do

• Review Hindi AI training outputs and trainer QA submissions for quality and consistency.
• Evaluate work against project rubrics, style guides, and language guidelines.
• Assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and rubric adherence.
• Identify mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect gender or verb agreement, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology.
• Provide clear written feedback and escalate recurring or critical issues.
• Update trainers and QAs on workflow changes, expectations, and quality standards.
• Answer questions about Hindi grammar, Devanagari, register, translation fidelity, Hinglish, terminology, and cultural context.
• Maintain Hindi documentation, FAQs, examples, trackers, and onboarding materials.
• Support onboarding and training discussions for contributors.
• Help improve QA processes and support contributor activation.

Requirements

This role requires strong Hindi language judgment, careful evaluation skills, and the ability to communicate quality standards clearly in English. Experience with language review or AI-training workflows is important because the work involves detailed rubrics and nuanced content decisions.

• Native or near-native Hindi proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Native or near-native judgment of Hindi grammar, spelling, and Devanagari.
• Strong English communication skills for guidelines, feedback, documentation, and team coordination.
• At least 3 years of experience in Hindi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
• Strong understanding of Hindi punctuation, tone, register, spelling conventions, and India-specific cultural context.
• Ability to distinguish natural Hindi from literal or English-influenced phrasing.
• Experience reviewing translation fidelity, terminology consistency, and cultural appropriateness.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and identify nuanced language and quality issues.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, prompt-response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA.
• Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
