The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Healthcare Legal AI Training Attorney to support AI development through expert review of healthcare legal materials and model responses. You will apply practical knowledge of U.S. healthcare law to documents, regulatory content, sample legal writing, and realistic legal scenarios.

The opportunity is categorized as entry level, but the project requires a Juris Doctor degree, an active U.S. law license, and significant healthcare law, compliance, and regulatory experience.

What You’ll Do

You will help define and assess the legal knowledge and reasoning expected from AI systems. The work combines document review, evaluation and rating, written content generation, and detailed expert feedback.

• Analyze, review, and annotate healthcare legal documents and regulatory materials
• Draft and critique examples involving healthcare compliance, fraud and abuse, patient privacy, telemedicine, and related issues
• Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, clarity, U.S. healthcare law, and ethical standards
• Provide detailed written feedback to strengthen legal reasoning capabilities
• Identify emerging healthcare law trends and translate them into useful project input
• Clarify complex legal concepts through written and verbal collaboration
• Contribute practical scenarios and use cases based on real-world healthcare legal challenges

Required Qualifications

Applicants must be able to apply careful, accurate legal analysis to healthcare-related content and AI-generated responses. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for producing reliable training data and actionable model feedback.

• Juris Doctor degree
• Active license to practice law in the United States
• Significant experience advising on healthcare law, compliance, and regulatory matters
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, the Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute
• Experience with healthcare policy analysis, contract drafting, or healthcare regulatory review
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Careful attention to legal accuracy and detail

Helpful Background

Experience or familiarity with healthcare operations, risk management, or clinical practice environments is valuable. Interest in emerging technologies, legal innovation, or AI-driven projects is also helpful, although prior AI-training experience is not required.
