The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Criminal Defense Legal AI Evaluation Attorney to apply professional criminal defense expertise to AI training work. You will review legal documents and criminal court scenarios, assess generated legal content for soundness and ethical compliance, and create realistic analyses, agreements, motions, and trial strategies.

This role focuses on translating practical criminal defense judgment into accurate feedback and clear explanations that improve legal model outputs and training data quality. The engagement is remote, project-based, part-time, and structured for 20 or more hours per week.

What You'll Do

Requirements

This role requires professional criminal defense knowledge and the ability to apply it consistently across complex fact patterns and AI-generated content. You should be able to distinguish legally sound reasoning from unsupported conclusions while protecting confidential information and maintaining strong ethical standards.
