The work

You will help improve AI speech and language systems by recording German audio, annotating speech data, and reviewing language outputs. The work combines audio contribution, careful linguistic judgment, and clear written documentation.

• Record clear, high-quality German audio samples for AI model development.
• Annotate speech using precise linguistic and phonetic judgments.
• Evaluate AI-generated language outputs for pronunciation and language understanding.
• Review German regional accents, pronunciation, and language nuances.
• Document observations and communicate quality findings in a remote contractor setting.
• Follow speech data collection workflows and maintain consistent quality across assigned tasks.

What it pays and takes

This is an entry-level contractor role, and prior AI experience is not required. Experience with voice acting, audio engineering, podcasting, communications, linguistics, annotation tools, or audio and language-data quality assessment can help, but native German speakers new to AI training may also be considered.

• Pay: $30-$65 per hour.
• Time: 20+ hours per week.
• Work arrangement: Part-time contract work performed remotely.
• Location: Available in the countries listed in the posting.
• Language: Native German fluency is required.
• Required knowledge: German phonetics, pronunciation, regional accents, linguistic principles, and speech data collection or annotation processes.
